Curried chicken puffs
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2/3 c
- water - 1/2 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- margarine - 1/3 c
- slivered almonds, toasted - 1/3 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- chopped, cooked chicken
- green onion slices - 2 Tbsp
- dash of curry powder - 1 item
How to make curried chicken puffs:
Bring water and margarine to a boil. Add flour and salt; stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms ball. Remove from heat; add eggs, one at a time, heating until smooth after each addition. Place level measuring tablespoonfuls of batter on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes. Cool.Combine cream cheese, milk, salt, curry powder and pepper, mixing until well blended. Add chicken, almonds and onions; mix lightly. Cut tops from cream puffs; fill with chicken mixture. Replace tops. Place puffs on cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 5 minutes or until warm. Makes approximately 1 1/2 dozens.
