Cheese fondue
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- egg yolks - 3 item
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- stiffly beaten egg whites - 3 item
- soft bread crumbs - 1 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- milk, scalded - 1 c
- grated American cheese - 1/2 3/4
How to make cheese fondue:
Combine milk, crumbs, cheese, butter and seasonings. Stir in yolks. Fold in whites. Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Place in pan of hot water; bake in slow oven at 325° until firm, 30 to 45 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Appetizers, Cheese.
