Caramel icing
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- evaporated milk - 1/3 c
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- Karo - 1 Tbsp
- Spry - 2 Tbsp
- margarine not spread - 2 Tbsp
How to make caramel icing:
Mix first 7 ingredients together. Bring to a full boil (stir). Boil for 1 minute. Add vanilla. Let cool.Note: If too thick, add a little more canned milk.
Frosts 1 1/2 to 2 dozen cupcakes or 2 layers or a 13 x 9-inch cake.
