Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • half and half - 1 pt
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 pt
  • water - 1/4 1/2
  • heavy cream - 1/2 pt
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • rice - 1 c
  • nutmeg or cinnamon - 1 item

How to make rice pudding:

Preheat oven at 350°. Beat eggs and sugar until creamy. Add vanilla, lemon juice, heavy cream and half and half. Beat well. Add milk. Cook rice; add to egg mixture.

Rinse a Corning dish in cold water; leave wet. Add rice mixture. Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon. Set in a cookie sheet with 1/4 to 1/2 cup water in the cookie sheet. Bake until firm, about 1 hour.
