Greek rice pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 item
- milk - 8 c
- rice - 1 c
- lemon rind, grated optional - 1 item
- egg yolks, mixed with a little milk - 2 item
- cornstarch, mixed into yolk mixture - 1 tsp
How to make greek rice pudding:
Put milk on to boil. Wash rice and add to the milk. When it comes to a boil again, reduce heat and simmer for about a half hour, stirring occasionally. Add sugar, lemon rind and egg yolk mixture. Simmer a few minutes longer. Serve on dessert plates, when cold. Sprinkle with cinnamon.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, White rice.
