Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
How to make caramel icing:
Combine 3 cups sugar with milk in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat until dissolved. Add butter, stirring to keep from scorching. Cook the 4 tablespoons sugar in saucepan until melted and browned. Add to sugar, milk and butter until blended. Cook for about 6 minutes. Remove from heat and beat with mixer at high speed until it reaches spreading consistency.
