  • milk - 2 c
  • butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
  • snipped parsley - 1 item
  • chicken broth - 2 c
  • finely chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • finely diced celery - 1/4 c
  • finely diced carrot - 1/4 c
  • sharp process American cheese, cubed - 2 oz

How to make canadian cheese soup:

In a saucepan, cook onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour. Add milk, chicken broth, carrots, celery, dash of paprika and dash of salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and bubbles. Reduce heat. Add cheese and stir until melted. Simmer for 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Garnish with snipped parsley.
