Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 qt
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- cornstarch
- soda - 1/8 tsp
- chicken broth - 1 qt
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- celery, diced - 1/2 c
- carrots, diced - 1/2 c
- parsley, chopped - 2 Tbsp
- cheddar cheese, grated - 1 c
- onion, finely diced - 1/2 c
How to make canadian cheese soup:
Melt butter and saut?© vegetables on low heat until soft. Add flour and cornstarch and cook until bubbly. Add stock and milk to make a smooth sauce. Add soda and cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Add parsley before serving.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Cheese, Soups & stews.
