Butterscotch cream cheese bars
Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 6 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
- chopped walnuts - 2 c
- 12 oz - 2 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- each pkg - 2 oz
How to make butterscotch cream cheese bars:
Melt morsels and butter in medium, heavy saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth. Stir in crumbs and walnuts. Reserve 2 cups crumb mixture for topping. Press remaining mixture into ungreased 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 12 minutes.Beat cream cheese and sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in flour and lemon juice. Pour over crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until set. Cool. Cut into 2 x 1-inch bars or diamonds. Chill.
