  • butter or margarine - 1/4 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • powdered sugar - 2 c
  • chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • ground ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • cream cheese, softened
  • can pineapple undrained - 20 oz

How to make pineapple cake:

Cream Cheese Ginger Frosting:3 oz. cream cheese, softened1/4 c. butter or margarine1 tsp. vanilla2 c. powdered sugar1/2 tsp. ground ginger Mix first 7 ingredients for cake batter. Using an electric mixer, mix Cream Cheese Ginger Frosting. Gradually add the 2 cups powdered sugar and ground ginger; continue beating until smooth and ready to spread on cake.
