Butterscotch cream cheese bars
Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- butterscotch chips - 1 pkg
- can sweetened condensed milk - 1 oz
How to make butterscotch cream cheese bars:
Preheat oven to 325°. In a medium saucepan, melt butterscotch chips and butter over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in graham cracker crumbs; mix well. Reserve 2/3 cup of crumb mixture. Press remainder firmly into a buttered 13 x 9-inch baking pan.In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until light and fluffy. Beat in condensed milk, vanilla and egg; fold in nuts. Pour over crumb crust in pan; scatter reserved crumb mixture evenly over top. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
