- buttermilk
- paprika - 1 tsp
- garlic salt - 1 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- flour for dredging - 1 item
- fryer, chilled overnight - 3 4
How to make buttermilk fried chicken:
Soak fryer in buttermilk 1 hour before frying. Mix flour (about 1 cup) with seasonings and roll cut up chicken in it. In a heavy skillet, cook chicken in hot fat, covered, a few minutes, then remove lid and brown slowly. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Main dish, Whole chicken, Chicken breast.
