Oven fried chicken



  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1/4 c
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • wheat germ - 1/4 c
  • mashed potato flakes - 1/4 c
  • broiler fryer, cut up and skinned - 1 item

How to make oven fried chicken:

Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper; let stand for 1/2 hour. Dip chicken pieces into buttermilk; shake in a plastic bag in which you have combined the wheat germ, potato flakes, garlic salt and paprika. Place chicken in baking dish (sprayed with nonstick oil). Bake in a 350° oven for 35 minutes, or until chicken is nicely browned and tender. Serves 4.
