Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 3/4 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 4 Tbsp
- flour self-rising - 2 c
How to make buttermilk biscuits:
Mix dry ingredients; mix well. Cut shortening in slowly. Add buttermilk. Mix well. Roll on floured board; knead and roll out about 1/2 to 3/4-inch. Cut to desired size. Place in greased iron skillet. Bake at 425° until golden brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Rolls/biscuits.
