- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 3/4 c
How to make buttermilk pound cake:
Cream sugar, shortening and eggs until fluffy and white. Add rest of ingredients with flour last, alternating flour and buttermilk. Bake 1 hour at 325° for Bundt or tube pan at 350° for layers.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, For large groups.
