Buttercream frosting
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/4 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- box 10x sugar - 1 item
- butter flavor - 1 tsp
- Crisco or Snowdrift - 3/4 c
How to make buttercream frosting:
Place sugar and Crisco or Snowdrift into bowl; blend. Add water a teaspoon at a time until desired consistency. Now add butter flavoring. Blend well. Add a dash of salt, no more than 1/4 teaspoon. This will break down the sweetness of the sugar. Yields 2 cups.Note: Must be 10x, not 4x or 6x. Must be Crisco or Snowdrift. Other precreamed shortenings will change the texture of frosting. If frosting a cake, it will not be very easy to work with.
