Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 c
- water - 1 gal
- whole cloves - 12 item
- pickling salt - 1 c
- crushed bay leaves - 2 Tbsp
How to make brine for smoking fish:
Dissolve salt in small amount of hot water. Add to gallon of water and rest of ingredients. Heat to boil and let cool. Let your fish soak overnight in brine and smoke over hickory chips or chips of your choice.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Saltwater fish, Salmon.
