Barbecued spareribs
Ingredients/Components
- dark brown sugar - 1/4 c
- dark molasses - 1 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1 c
- mustard - 1 Tbsp
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- hot pepper sauce - 1 tsp
- minced garlic - 1 Tbsp
- small onion - 1 item
- ground pepper - 1/2 tsp
- white vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- spareribs - 6 lb
How to make barbecued spareribs:
Parboil spareribs for 15 minutes with celery, onion and pepper; let water cover ribs. Remove ribs and drain. Baste with sauce. Grill for 45 minutes over low fire, turning and basting frequently until done.Sauce: Combine tomato paste, water, sugar, garlic, hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, vinegar and molasses. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
