Ingredients/Components
- water - 2 c
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/4 c
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- ketchup - 1 c
- Tabasco sauce - 1/2 tsp
- celery seed - 1 Tbsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- lemon, thinly sliced - 1 item
- sprinkle of salt - 1 item
- ribs, cut into serving pieces - 3 lb
- Sprinkle with salt
How to make barbecued spareribs:
Place spareribs, meat side up in a 9x13-inch glass baking dish. Sprinkle with salt. Top with lemon slices and chopped onion.Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Sauce Mixture:1/4 c. molasses (unsulphured)1 tsp. chili powder1 Tbsp. celery seed1/4 c. vinegar1 c. ketchup1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce2 c. water Combine molasses with chili powder and celery seed. Stir in vinegar, ketchup, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce and water.
Bake 1 hour longer, basting with sauce mixture 3 to 4 times.
