Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- water - 4 c
- vinegar - 2/3 c
- dry mustard - 2 Tbsp
- catsup - 4 c
- cloves garlic, chopped - 4 item
- Worcestershire - 3/4 c
- medium onions, chopped - 4 item
- brisket, chuck or pork butt - 5 lb
How to make barbecue:
In Dutch oven, saute onions and garlic until golden. Add brown sugar and cook until caramelized. Add other ingredients and simmer 15 minutes. Add meat. Bake, covered, for 5 or 6 hours at 325°. Uncover last half hour. Remove from oven and shred meat with 2 forks and return to sauce. Can be frozen.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Ground beef, Sandwich.
