Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- catsup - 1/2 c
- Tabasco sauce - 1/2 tsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- clove garlic, minced optional - 1 item
How to make barbecue sauce:
Combine all ingredients in saucepan; bring to a boil. Use to brush on steak, roasts, spareribs, chicken and frankfurters during cooking. Yield: approximately 1 1/4 cups. (Old recipe.)Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Southern u.s., Cajun.
