Smoked salmon canapes



  • minced fresh chives - 1 Tbsp
  • freshly ground black pepper - 1 item
  • horseradish - 1 Tbsp
  • minced fresh dill - 1 Tbsp
  • cream cheese, softened - 8 oz
  • freshly squeezed lemon juice - 1 item
  • thinly sliced rye or pumpernickel bread, cut into 18 triangles - 9 item
  • smoked salmon, very thinly sliced - 12 oz
  • fresh dill sprigs and capers for garnish - 1 item

How to make smoked salmon canapes:

Place the cream cheese and horseradish in a bowl and whip with an electric mixer or wire whisk until light and fluffy. Stir in the minced herbs and season to taste with lemon juice and pepper. Spread on bread.

Cut the salmon into the same shape as the bread and place on top of the spread. Garnish with dill and capers and serve immediately.
