Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- pepper - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 item
- grated cheese - 1 item
- stick butter or margarine - 1/2 item
- or 6 squash - 5 item
- or 10 saltines - 8 item
How to make baked squash:
Slice squash. Put squash and onion in small amount of water and boil until tender. Mash and add butter, pepper, eggs, milk, 4 crushed saltines and grated cheese. Put in casserole dish, top with crushed crackers and more grated cheese. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes. Salt to taste. Serves eight.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Vegetables.
