Ingredients/Components
- stick margarine - 1 item
- cracker crumbs - 2 c
- hard-cooked eggs, diced - 3 item
- grated American cheese - 1/2 lb
- large can asparagus, cut into pieces - 1 item
- can mushroom soup, diluted with juice from asparagus - 1 item
How to make asparagus casserole:
Combine cracker crumbs, 1/2 stick margarine (melted), cheese and diced eggs. Other 1/2 stick of margarine in bottom of casserole, layer of crumbs, then asparagus. Alternate having crumbs on top. Cover with diluted soup. Bake 1/2 hour at 350°. Serves 6 to 8. Green beans can be used in lieu of asparagus.Recipe categories: Asparagus, Main dish, Casseroles.
