  • milk - 2/3 c
  • cracker crumbs - 2 c
  • mushroom soup - 1 c
  • grated American cheese - 1 c
  • medium can asparagus or fresh asparagus - 1 item
  • eggs hard-cooked, sliced - 2 item

How to make asparagus casserole:

Drain asparagus and place in a layer in the bottom of greased casserole dish. Follow with layer of sliced eggs. Sprinkle cracker crumbs over eggs. Add layer of cheese. Mix milk with soup. Pour 1/2 of the milk and soup mixture over all. Repeat layers in order given; dot with butter. Allow to set for 1/2 hour before baking. Bake at 325° for 20 minutes or heated through and bubbly.
