  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • butter - 4 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • slivered almonds - 1/2 c
  • Cheddar cheese - 1 c
  • can mushroom soup - 1 item
  • Ritz cracker crumbs - 1 c
  • liquid from asparagus - 1/2 c
  • 303 cans asparagus, drained save liquid

How to make asparagus casserole:

Layer asparagus in casserole. Mix soup, asparagus liquid, salt and pepper; pour over asparagus. Mix cracker crumbs with melted butter; sprinkle over asparagus. Top with grated cheese and almonds. Bake at 300° for 45 minutes or at 400° for 20 minutes. Serves 8.
