Almond toffee
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1 c
- sliced almonds - 2 c
- light brown sugar - 1 c
- saltine crackers - 40 item
- bag milk chocolate chips - 12 oz
How to make almond toffee:
Preheat oven to 400°. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Sprinkle 1 cup almonds evenly. Place crackers on top. Sprinkle 1/2 cup almonds on crackers. Melt butter in saucepan. Add brown sugar and bring to boil. Cook 3 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly. Pour over crackers and spread gently. Bake 5 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let stand 5 minutes. Spread chocolate evenly and sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup almonds. Cool in refrigerator until hard.
