- sugar - 2 c
- butter - 1 lb
- almonds, chopped - 1 item
How to make almond toffee:
Note: You must use a heavy cast-iron skillet for this recipe. You must use butter.Melt butter in skillet, add sugar, continue cooking, stirring constantly until mixture is approximately the color of a grocery sack. Pour onto a sheet pan covered with chopped almonds. Spread out evenly. Sprinkle with chopped almonds pressing in. Score toffee while hot. Cool completely. Break into pieces.
