  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • butter - 1/4 lb
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • light brown sugar - 1 lb
  • light Karo syrup - 3/4 c
  • heavy cream or light - 3/4 c

How to make butterscotch sauce:

Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil, without stirring, and add cream gradually. Boil again. When cool, add vanilla extract.
