  • stick butter - 1 item
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • sliced celery - 2 c
  • can water chestnuts - 1 item
  • tube Ritz crackers - 1 item

How to make water chestnut casserole:

Slice celery and place in baking dish. Add soups and stir. Dice or slice water chestnuts. Add to mixture. Bake until boiling. In a saucepan melt butter. Crumble tube of crackers and place in pan with butter. Place cracker mixture over celery mixture and bake on low heat for 5 minutes. Top with sliced almonds, if desired.
