  • all-purpose flour - 1/3 c
  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • vegetable oil - 1/2 c
  • can cream-style corn - 1 item
  • chopped onion - 1/3 c
  • hot salsa - 1 (8
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c

How to make mexican corn bread:

In a mixing bowl, combine first six ingredients. Combine remaining ingredients; add this to dry ingredients and mix only until moistened. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish or pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes, or until bread is a golden brown and tests done. Serves 8 to 10.
