Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- stick margarine - 3/4 item
- semi-sweet chocolate chips - 6 oz
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
- bag caramels - 14 oz
How to make turtle cake:
Mix cake according to directions. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Over low heat melt caramels, margarine and milk. Pour over top of baked cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Cover with remaining cake mix. Bake 20 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Southern u.s..
