Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 pt
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 2 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 2 item
- heavy cream - 1 c
How to make ice cream:
Scald milk, stirring constantly. Mix the flour and cold water into a paste. Add slowly to scalded milk. Continue to stir. When thickened, cook over hot water for about 15 minutes. Add sugar and egg yolks; cook 2 minutes. Strain the custard through a fine sieve. When cold, add the cream and vanilla and freeze. This makes a smooth, rich cream.
