Turkey picadillo
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- raisins - 1/4 c
- ground cloves - 1/8 tsp
- dash of garlic powder - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- ground turkey - 1/2 lb
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- ground cumin - 1/2 tsp
- cans stewed tomatoes - 2 1/2
- chopped red pepper - 1/4 c
- white rice, cooked - 2 c
- Granny Smith apple, cored and chopped - 1 item
How to make turkey picadillo:
In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, brown the turkey, onion, peppers and garlic powder. Saute until turkey is no longer pink. Drain. Stir in next 6 ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 25 minutes. Serve over hot rice.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Main dish, Turkey.
