  • sour cream - 1 item
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • can stewed tomatoes - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • sliced tomatoes - 1 item
  • Cheddar cheese - 1 item
  • taco seasoning - 1 pkg
  • soft corn tortillas - 12 item

How to make tijuana torte:

Brown meat and onions. Drain. Add stewed tomatoes, sauce and taco seasoning. Simmer 10 minutes. Place 2 tortillas side by side in baking dish. Put meat mixture on top of tortillas, then sprinkle with cheese (about 3 large tablespoons of mixture on each layer). Repeat until each stack has 6 tortillas. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Add sour cream and sliced tomatoes on top.
