vanilla - 1 tsp
milk - 4 Tbsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
flour - 2 c
water - 1 c
cocoa - 3 Tbsp
baking soda - 1 tsp
oleo - 1 c
box powdered sugar - 1 item
sour milk to make sour, add a little lemon juice - 1/2 c
Mix the remaining ingredients and add hot mixture

How to make texas cookies:

Mix first 3 ingredients and heat until dissolved. Mix the remaining ingredients and add hot mixture. Pour on greased and floured cookie sheet, 18 x 12-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.Icing:1 stick oleo2 Tbsp. cocoa4 Tbsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla1 box powdered sugar Melt first 4 ingredients. Heat and dissolve, then add powdered sugar. Stir until smooth and creamy. Spread icing on cookies and place in refrigerator until icing is set.
