  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 item
  • milk - 6 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • cocoa - 3 Tbsp
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • sticks oleo - 2 item
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • Icing:1 stick oleo

How to make texas sheet cake:

Icing:1 stick oleo6 Tbsp. milk3 Tbsp. cocoa1 box powdered sugar chopped pecans Put cocoa, water and oleo margarine in a saucepan. Put flour, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, put beaten eggs, buttermilk and soda. Bring mixture in saucepan to a boil and add to dry ingredients. Mix well and pour in buttermilk, eggs and soda mixture. Add vanilla and place in a greased large cookie sheet or jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. The last 5 minutes the cake is baking, start the icing and ice the cake as soon as it comes out of oven.

Icing: Melt oleo, milk and cocoa over low heat. Mix in box of powdered sugar and chopped nuts; then ice the cake.
