Ingredients/Components

  • butter, softened - 1/4 c
  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • 2 can fruit or 2 c
  • juice, if canned or 1/2 c - 1 c

How to make fruit cobbler:

Cream butter and sugar. Sift dry ingredients and add milk. Beat until smooth. Pour into 2-quart casserole. Mix fruit, sugar and juice. Pour over top. Bake at 375° for 45 to 50 minutes, until light brown on top.

Note: Put in oven before you start dinner; will be ready for dessert.

Note: Peaches, cherries or blueberries may be used. Add spices as needed.
