  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 lb
  • can cream of celery soup - 1 item
  • flour tortillas - 1 item
  • taco mix mild or hot - 1 pkg
  • black olives to garnish, optional - 1 item

How to make tex-mex casserole:

Brown ground beef and drain off the fat. Mix in the tomato sauce, taco mix and soup. Layer the tortillas, meat mixture and cheese in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Repeat the layers until the meat mixture runs out. Bake in a 350° oven until heated thoroughly and cheese is melted, about 25 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Serves 8.
