Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 c
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts optional - 1 c
- self-rising flour
How to make tea cakes:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add 1 egg; mix well, then add the other egg. Mix well. Add flour slowly; mix as you go. Add vanilla flavoring and nuts. Mixture should be stiff. Roll mixture out on waxed paper with a floured rolling pin cut with cookie cutters and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
