Peanut brittle
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- light corn syrup - 1/2 c
- raw peanuts
How to make peanut brittle:
Cook water, sugar and corn syrup until it spins a thread (230° to 234°). Add peanuts and cook until they begin to pop (hard crack stage 300° to 310°). Add soda, butter and salt. Pour onto a large greased cookie sheet. Cool and break into pieces.Recipe categories: Desserts, Fruit, Candy.
