Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vegetable shortening - 1 c
- large eggs - 2 item
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- vanilla extract - 1 Tbsp
- whipping cream - 2 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour
How to make tea cakes:
Preheat oven to 325°. Place sugar and vegetable oil in mixing bowl. Cream with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition. Add baking powder, vanilla, cream and flour. Mix well. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and space 1-inch apart. Place on cookie sheet (nonstick); flatten with fingers.
