Ingredients/Components

  • dash of garlic powder - 1 item
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • chopped carrots - 1 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • round steak - 1 item
  • smooshed canned tomatoes - 2 c

How to make swiss steak:

Cut, flour and pound round steak. Then brown each piece of meat in a little oil. When well browned, cover with a mixture of canned tomatoes, celery, onion, carrots, bay leaf, garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste. Cover pan and cook on low heat for 1 1/2 hours.
