Sweet potato casserole
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 1/4 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- Pour into a buttered casserole dish
- medium sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed - 3 item
How to make sweet potato casserole:
Mix ingredients well. Pour into a buttered casserole dish.Topping:1/4 stick butter, melted1/2 c. granulated sugar1/8 c. milk1/2 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. chopped pecans Melt the butter, granulated sugar and milk together; cook until thick. Cool. Add the vanilla; beat until slightly thick. Pour over casserole; sprinkle chopped pecans on top. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes. Cook until bubbly.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Casseroles.
