Summer squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- grated cheese - 1/2 lb
- oregano - 1 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- green pepper - 1 item
- large onions - 2 item
- cloves garlic, chopped optional - 2 item
- small summer squash - 3 item
How to make summer squash casserole:
Chop onions and pepper. Slice squash (1/4-inch slices). Saute onions in butter until golden brown; add pepper and garlic and cook about 5 minutes. Layer veggies in a greased 2 to 3-quart casserole. Sprinkle with sugar, oregano, salt and pepper. Top with grated cheese. Bake in 350° oven for 20 to 30 minutes. Serves 8.Recipe categories: Squash, Vegetables, Casseroles.
