Sugar top coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- melted butter - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- plain flour - 2 Tbsp
- sifted plain flour
How to make sugar top coffee cake:
Topping:3/4 tsp. salt1/2 c. brown sugar2 Tbsp. plain flour1/2 tsp. cinnamon2 Tbsp. butter Beat egg until frothy; beat in granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon butter. Cream until light and fluffy. Add sour cream and vanilla; blend well. Sift together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to sour cream mixture. Blend well. Pour into a greased 8-inch square pan. Mix 2 tablespoons flour, cinnamon and 2 tablespoons butter. Sprinkle over top of batter. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 375°. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Breads, Coffee cakes.
