Ingredients/Components
- miniature marshmallows - 1 c
- frozen strawberries two 10 oz - 2 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- flour
- solid shortening - 1/2 c
- sugar
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
How to make strawberry shortcut cake:
Generously grease bottom only of a 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan. Thoroughly combine completely thawed berries and syrup with dry gelatin; set aside.In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Blend at low speed until moistened. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed, scraping side of bowl occasionally. Pour batter evenly over marshmallows in pan. Spoon strawberry mixture evenly over batter. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
