Strawberry shortcut cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• eggs - 3 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• pkg - 1 oz
• milk - 1 c
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour
• baking powder - 3 tsp
• shortening - 1/2 c
• miniature marshmallows - 1 c
• sliced strawberries, frozen in syrup and thawed - 2 c

How to make strawberry shortcut cake:

Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle the marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan and set aside. Thoroughly combine the strawberries and syrup with the gelatin and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, shortening, baking powder, salt, milk, vanilla and eggs. Blend at low speed until moistened. Beat for 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour over marshmallows. Spoon strawberry mixture over the batter and bake for 45 to 50 minutes at 350°.
