Raspberry custard brulee
Ingredients/Components
- fresh raspberries - 2 c
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 tsp
- egg whites - 2 item
- skim milk - 1 c
- fat-free sour cream - 2 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- plus 1 tsp - 1 Tbsp
How to make raspberry custard brulee:
Gently rinse raspberries and divide evenly among 4 (6 ounce) custard cups. Set aside.Combine sugar and cornstarch in saucepan; stir well. Gradually add milk, stirring well. Cook over low heat 12 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat. Cool 5 minutes. Add sour cream and vanilla. Spoon custard mixture evenly over raspberries. Place custard cups on baking sheet. Sprinkle each with 1 teaspoon brown sugar. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat 2 minutes or until sugar melts. Serve warm.
