Strawberry chiffon
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- unflavored gelatin - 1 tsp
- low-fat plain yogurt - 1 c
- egg white, beaten stiff - 1 item
- strawberries, hulled and pureed - 1 pt
How to make strawberry chiffon:
In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar and gelatin. Cook over low heat until gelatin and sugar are dissolved, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in strawberries and chill for 1/2 hour.When mixture is cold, stir in yogurt until completely combined. Gently fold in egg white. Spoon into dessert bowl and refrigerate until set, about 4 hours. Makes 4 servings with about 75 calories each.
